I broke my toe
It hurts! The one in the middle, it looks like a little purple sausage. It feels like shit. I tripped up the darn basement steps. I think I need to tape it so I quit knocking it, at least that would be the smart thing to do.
We went to Six Flags Sunday, my foot was numb by the time we got home.
I just needed to share.

Tree Hugger
A golfer looking for his ball in the woods comes up to another man hugging a tree, with his ear firmly against the tree. Seeing this he inquires, "Just out of curiosity, what the hell are you doing?" "I'm listening to the music of the tree." "You gotta be kiddin' me." "No. Would you like to give it a try?" "Well, OK..." So the golfer wraps his arms around the tree and presses his ear up against it. With this, the other guy slaps a set of handcuffs on him--on the other side of the tree--takes his wallet, jewelry, car keys, and then strips him naked and leaves. Two hours later another nature lover strolls by and sees him handcuffed to the tree, stark naked, and asks, "What the hell happened to you?" So the golfer tells the guy the whole story about how he got there. While he was telling the sad story, the other guy shakes his head in sympathy, walks around behind him, kisses him behind the ear and says, "This just isn't gonna be your day."
Religion Quiz
I lost the link but took it, guess what, I'm not Christian anymore :0) The thing that scares me is how close I am to Satanism.
Here are my results:
You scored as Buddhism.
Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Buddhism. Do more research on Buddhism and possibly consider becoming Buddhist, if you are not already. In Buddhism, there are Four Noble Truths: (1) Life is suffering. (2) All suffering is caused by ignorance of the nature of reality and the craving, attachment, and grasping that result from such ignorance. (3) Suffering can be ended by overcoming ignorance and attachment. (4) The path to the suppression of suffering is the Noble Eightfold Path, which consists of right views, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right-mindedness, and right contemplation. These eight are usually divided into three categories that base the Buddhist faith: morality, wisdom, and samadhi, or concentration. In Buddhism, there is no hierarchy, nor caste system; the Buddha taught that one's spiritual worth is not based on birth.

Normal??
Well back to normal? We went to swimming class last night. Dana is like an Island girl w/ her tan. Drew did good at class and was VERY happy to see Mommy.
We sent home and I made some pasta and meatballs, we watched American Idol, the baseball game and then I retired to the bedroom to watch CSI NY. I still stayed up to late.
Anthony's gone...not very climactic was it?
Looks like rain, we could use it. I could use sleep. I don't see it in my near future, unless I go to bed at 10pm tonight. Hmm that's an idea.

You know you're from St Louis when...
You love toasted ravioli with Budweiser beer.
"Vacation" is a choice between Silver Dollar City and Lake of the Ozarks.
You can find Pestalozzi Street by aroma alone.
You can get anywhere in 20 minutes, except on highway 40.
You can debate for 30 minutes whether Missouri Baking or Marge Amighetti makes the best Italian bread.
You know what "Party Cove" is, and where the "lake" is.
You still can't believe the Arena is gone.
Your first question to a new person is, "Where did you go to High School?"
Your non-St. Louisan friends always ask if you're aware there is no "r" in "wash."
You know at least one person who's gotten hurt at Johnson Shut-ins.
You know in your heart that Mizzou can beat Nebraska in football.
You think the four major food groups are Beef, Pork, Budweiser and Imo's.
You know there are really only three salad dressings: Imo's, Zia's and Rich and Charlie's.
You'll pay for your kid to go to college unless they want to go to KU.
You would rather have a root canal without anesthetic than drive on Manchester on a Saturday afternoon.
It just doesn't seem like a wedding without mostaciolli. AND YOU PRONOUNCE IT 'MUSKACHOLLI'. The balance of the menu is ham, boiled roast beef, string beans with ham and of course pitchers of Busch Bavarian (class weddings have Bud)
You know, within a three-mile radius, where another St. Louisan grew up as soon as they open their mouth.
You know what a Pork Steak is...and what kind of sauce to put on it!
Everyone in your family has floated the Meramec River at least once.
A hoosier is someone that lives just south of Chouteau, not a person from Indiana.
You have made fun of Mike Shanahan and tried to imitate him ordering another cold, frosty Busch Bavarian Beer. You have listened to Mike's broadcast on KMOX, while watching the game on TV and wonder what game he is watching.
A tear forms in your eye as someone mentions their favorite Jack Buck story.
You've said, "It's not the heat, it's the humidity."
Your favorite summer treat is handed to you upside-down
You bleed Blue between September and May
You actually get these jokes and pass them on to other friends from St. Louis.
My porn star name...
is....Cumisha Jones. I like it!

Robyn's Place
I really enjoyed her blog. The things she said about her mom were so sweet. Top stupid things she did as a child were great!
Why do I care?
Stupid stress. Why do I even care if this woman gets her binocular on time? I should have told her in the first place that we couldn't do it. Instead I bend over backward and get at least 4 other people to do the same. Out of my control it gets screwed up...then they try to fix it and screw it up again. And I'm the one w/ the left temple throbbing and the upset tummy. Not fair!!!!!!!!
I am so ready to get my schedule back to normal...the selfish person that I am. I have dinner to make tonight, I ran to the store. But I MUST watch the finale of Amazing Race. I can't wait for Big Brother to start, I think that's July 7th or something like that.
Oh well I guess I'll get back to blog reading while I eat my ham on rye..that I did make myself I may add.

We went to Jeremy's grandma's. Food was awesome, Drew was good. Cards won.
Today was Mexican potluck day. I made these really good cream cheese spiral things. Cream cheese and cumin..need I say more?
Oh well, back to my cake. God they eat alot at my office.

What is ALS:
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (also referred to as ALS, Lou Gehrig's Disease, Motor Neuron Disease or MND) is a neurological disease, characterized by progressive muscle weakness and atrophy (wasting away or loss of muscle). ALS was first identified in 1874 by a French neurologist, Jean Martin Charcot
ALS can occur from 20 years of age well into the 80s, although the most common ages of the onset are the mid-50s. ALS occurs in one to two out of every 100,000 people. At any given time there are about six individuals with ALS for every 100,000 people. This translates to about 30,000 people in the United States living with ALS.
ALS generally appears unpredictably and sporadically throughout the world. The geographical distribution of the disease is rather even, with only a few areas having an unusually high number of cases.
You can print and send in your request with payment to the ALS office, the tickets will be mailed to you!
You must purchase your tickets through the ALS office to donate to the cause. You will also receive one hot dog and soda per ticket.

Well I had a really cool photo I found on a blog but didn't know how to post. I'm still reeling over the loss of Constantine. I'm not sure what to do over my sorrow... Really though Scott has GOT TO GO! PLEASE oh God's of TV and all that's good!! We're going to miss it tonight though. Mommy is going to Mexico to get married and Drew is staying w/ us a week! That will be fun. Anyway we're going out to St Chuck around 7:30, right in the middle of TV time. Hopefully I can catch at least the end of Amazing Race and HAVE to see the final Judging Amy. I can be good step-mom tomorrow night.
MentalBob
I like Mental Bob, he seems a bit warped, that's a good thing!
I found that link in People Magazine!

Laura Bush Transcript
The complete transcript of Laura Bush's comments from the White House Correspondents' Association dinner, held April 30:
President Bush' name=c1> SEARCHNews News Photos Images Web' name=c3> President Bush: Thank you and good evening. I always look forward to these dinners, where I'm supposed to be funny - intentionally. I'm really looking forward to hearing Cedric the Entertainer. I kind of think of myself that way.
Cedric, did you hear that hilarious line I ad-libbed down in Arkansas? A woman in a town meeting told me she was from DeQueen, and I said, 'That's right next to DeKing.' You gotta' admit that's pretty good, Cedric. That's what you call sophisticated re - par - tay.
Then out in Montana, I told a joke about a cattle guard, which, to be honest, didn't get a very big laugh - actually, none. But Cedric, I think you'll appreciate this, and you can use it if you want to. See, there was this city slicker who was driving around lost and he came across this ol' cowboy. And so the city slicker asked the old guy how to get to the nearest town, and -
First Lady Laura Bush: Not that old joke - not again.
Ladies and gentlemen, I've been attending these dinners for years and just quietly sitting there. Well, I've got a few things I want to say for a change.
This is going to be fun because he really doesn't have a clue about what I'm gonna' to say next.
George always says he's delighted to come to these press dinners. Baloney. He's usually in bed by now.
I'm not kidding.
I said to him the other day, "George, if you really want to end tyranny in the world, you're going to have to stay up later."
I am married to the president of the United States, and here's our typical evening: Nine o'clock, Mr. Excitement here is sound asleep, and I'm watching Desperate Housewives- with Lynne Cheney. Ladies and gentlemen, I am a desperate housewife. I mean, if those women on that show think they're desperate, they oughta be with George.
One night, after George went to bed, Lynne Cheney, Condi Rice, Karen Hughes and I went to Chippendale's. I wouldn't even mention it except Ruth Ginsberg and
Sandra Day O'Connor" name=c1> SEARCHNews News Photos Images Web' name=c3> Sandra Day O'Connor saw us there. I won't tell you what happened, but Lynne's Secret Service codename is now "Dollar Bill."
But George and I are complete opposites - I'm quiet, he's talkative, I'm introverted, he's extroverted, I can pronounce nuclear -
The amazing thing, however, is that George and I were just meant to be. I was the librarian who speant 12 hours a day in the library, yet somehow I met George.
We met, and married, and I became one of the regulars up at Kennebunkport. All the Bushes love Kennebunkport, which is like Crawford, but without the nightlife. People ask me what it's like to be up there with the whole Bush clan. Lemme put it this way: First prize - three-day vacation with the Bush family. Second prize - 10 days.
Speaking of prizes brings me to my mother-in-law. So many mothers today are just not involved in their children's lives - Not a problem with Barbara Bush. People often wonder what my mother-in-law's really like. People think she's a sweet, grandmotherly, Aunt Bea type. She's actually more like, mmm, Don Corleone.
Cedric, am I doing all right?
I saw my in-laws down at the ranch over Easter. We like it down there. George didn't know much about ranches when we bought the place. Andover and Yale don't have a real strong ranching program. But I'm proud of George. He's learned a lot about ranching since that first year when he tried to milk the horse. What's worse, it was a male horse.
Now, of course, he spends his days clearing brush, cutting trails, taking down trees, or, as the girls call it, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. George's answer to any problem at the ranch is to cut it down with a chainsaw - which I think is why he and Cheney and Rumsfeld get along so well.
It's always very interesting to see how the ranch air invigorates people when they come down from Washington. Recently, when Vice President Cheney was down, he got up early one morning, he put on his hiking boots, and he went on a brisk, 20- to 30-foot walk.
But actually, in all seriousness, I do love the ranch, and I love the whole Bush family. I was an only child, and when I married into the extended Bush clan, I got brothers and sisters and wonderful in-laws, all of whom opened their arms to me. And included in the package, I got this guy here.
I think when you marry someone, you unconsciously are looking for something in your spouse to help fulfill something in you, and George did that for me. He brought fun and energy into my life and so many other things. George is a very good listener, he's easy to be around, and on top of it all, he's a loving father whose daughters absolutely adore him.
So in the future, when you see me just quietly sitting up here, I want you to know that I'm happy to be here for a reason - I love, and enjoy being with, the man who usually speaks to you on these occasions.
So George and I thank you for inviting us, thank you for all of the good work that you and the press do, and thank you for your very kind hospitality this evening.
Shriners Circus Review
For 38 years I have hated the circus. I now have a step-son so my feelings don't matter on things like that anymore. I went.
Pro's:
Free tickets.
Parking only $5 bucks
General admission seats gave us aisle seats.
Really interesting magicians, quick change that freaked me out.
Kitty cats dropping 150 feet from a swing onto a pillow.
Cool lights and music.
Con's:
No markings in the parking lot to figure out where the car was parked.
$12 lighted toy that the "ringmaster" advertised that every child should have.
Tigers looked abused.
Horses crammed in little circle, at one show three fell hard to the ground.
Dancing girls looked like they were all at least a size 16 or 18 with cellulite.
Pretzel bites soggy.
$5 elephant ride 1x around circle. 7 people mushed ontop of elephant. PLUS only 10 minutes for intermission, 2 hours into the show.
Hmm. I'll give it a 3, I think the kids gave it a 9.
I LOVE Laura Bush
I was watching Geraldo (yeah I know) and saw excerpts from the correspondance dinner. Laura having the balls to read what was written for her was great! When you're a lame duck first lady I guess you can do that. Don't think we would have ever seen Hillary doing cigar jokes!
