Can you smell it?
Yes I can!
Fall is in the air. This is the middle of the country, it may get to 90 again..but it won't last long.
This morning I had my brown longsleeve shirt on..and new pinstripe brown pants..that are NOT a plus size. I still refuse to wear socks.
J had to bring me a coat to soccer tonight otherwise I'm going to freeze my ass off. 40's tonight.
Just a not to say I'm not going to be posting much anymore for selfish reasons.
Work is a BEAR, today has been whackamole..I have way more fun reading and replying then posting myself.
Once I get home I have a set schdule now. My job is to annoy my husband w/ the new Fall Schudule...I started w/ tonight ordering CBS recorded at 7pm, 8pm and 9pm for NCIS, The Unit and Smith. God knows I don't want to be on the computer.
We're on the road to becoming rich on ebay..not really but selling junk. I did the first 2, now I have to teach J how to do it so he can take over. He knows he's in charge of packaging and going to the post office. He'll have fun..OR get frustrated with it. We'll see how it goes.
Our weekends are all packed with stuff. Between his family and my family w/ a smattering a friends plans I think we're booked through January..we have a Trivia Night, Memorial Service, Mizzou Game, Wedding, our Bdays, parents bdays, holloween, thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years..and other parties here and there.
So..it will have to be something big to get me back to this site..until life calms down.
Now back to emails and presentations.
This week: soccer, magic show, soccer, hair appt, wedding, chicago, soccer, trivia.
See what I mean.

Have you seen this person?? Find Baby Abby.

If you see this person, especially if she has a newborn..call 911.
The story is:
This person saw a sign for New Baby Girl on the front lawn..went inside the house. Found the mother, put her in a bathroom, slit her throat and informed her that she was taking her daughter.
This was in Missouri South of St Louis.
Who knows where the person is now.
She is described as a white woman, black hair. In between 5'6 and 5'9, 200 lbs..female type mustach.
The baby; Abby is 10 days old now. Black hair, white skin and a birthmark in between her eyes.
I don't know that they are going to find this baby alive.
The mother has recovered from surgery and is home.
Go to www.ksdk.com or www.stltoday.com for more information..especially if this person looks familiar.

Man I Am So Into Music
These were the words uttered by the 7 year old last weekend.
It is true, for the last couple of years we have been way into music at the Killmer household. This past year we've gone to a couple concert, downloaded songs and bought CD's.
I think American Idol inspired this freakish music craze. It's not like I've never been into music before but I just fell out of the habit of listening or caring. I had been listening to talk radio all day long, then KTRS fired most of the people I listen to. Things changed.
When I was a kid I was very into going to Peaches and getting 45's. I would listen to KXOX on my Raggedy Ann transister radio under my pillow until I fell asleep at night.
I spent hours in the Stephanoni's basement listening to vinyl albums, trying to figure out the words to my favorite songs.
Things are different now. You just google the name of the song and you can sign along.
I have always had a diverse taste in music. Having an older mom w/ a musical background I've grown up with music around me. I like music from every decade and every genre.
I can sing along w/ Broadway musicals and Hip Hop. As a child I watched Sonny and Cher, The Osmonds and KC and the Sunshine Band.
My iPod right now is also a mix, I have some of my favorites, Jeremy's and Drews.
When we first got the new computer hooked up and started getting our iTunes I wasn't surprised what I saw.
Drew's first choices were Panic at the Disco, Justin Timberlake, Pussycat Dolls and Black Eyed Peas (which I love too)
Jeremy's choices were Live, Andrea Bocelli, Abba, Nickleback and GreenDay (which I love to)
My choices were: Bowling for Soup, Barenaked Ladies, Jeff Buckley and Rosemary Clooney.
With the XM radio in the jeep I listen to the Top 20 on the way home, unbeliveable I'm current w/ music, it takes months usually for this stuff to get to St Louis.
The way to work I'm still into talk, either JC if I have the Nissan or GMA Radio if I have the jeep.
We listen to iTunes or play our iPod through the Sound Dock at home...or we turn on the Sirius on the Dish. I like the Broadway Channel on the Dish, I tend to blare that when J isn't home, and he blares crap I don't like, like Celien Dion. We respect each other like that :0)
Musically we were very bummed last night when Lukas Rossi the Canadian won Rockstar Supernova..for today to be named later.
Lukas was simply horrible. He needed the band though. Unfort we won't be buying their CD or downloading any of their songs.
I've already downloaded Ryan Star's Back of Your Car. Awesome song, I've gotten J to love that one too. He's going to do WAY better than the band, IMO.
Still another hour of talk radio, then on to my Pandora.

5 Years Later We Remember

Just like 5 years ago I'm listening to KHITS, they are replaying what was on the air 9/11/01.
We woke up that morning getting ready for work just like every other morning. I was still very sad, Friday the 8th I found out my friend was diagnosed with Lou Gehrigs Disease (ALS).
In order to "lighten" the mood Jeremy and I stopped at the donut store and got a dozen donuts.
We pulled out of the donut store and headed North on Hampton. Karen and JC on the radio stopped the silly banter and were talking about what was on the TV in their studio. Jeremy was chit chatting, I told him, "Shhh, listen. Sounds like a commuter plane hit the antenna on the Word Trade Center, I hope no one was hurt". At that time they said " This looks like a passenger plane, not a site seeing plane that had an accident, this looks like terrorism".
J and I silently continued our drive.
We had a small TV at the office and on and off watched the coverage. I remember going out to the back parking lot that day and looking up at quite skies. There was a daycare near my office and I'd go fill in the teachers on what was going on since obviously they weren't watching or listening.
Business changed that day too, packages being delivered and quotes were not important anymore.
I went home that night, we watched coverage all night..and into the following months trying to make sense of what just happened. We still don't get it because our brains can't grasp it yet. This just doesn't happen in our backyard..yet it did and we'll never forget.

Friends before parents, what??
It has started, the little man has made a friend. We have new neighbors across the street and Caleb is over the house playing with Drew.
Drew would rather play with his new friend that hang out w/ BB and Daddy.
It's fun, as I'm typing away they are having discussions about Donky Kong and Bionicles.
His friend is 3 years older and very nice..also not realizing that we let Drew win and not play that hard...we'll see how this plays out.
We were up at 6am for Drew's first soccer game this morning. The didn't win :-(
The team they played agaist was a bunch of monster size boys w/ a bar sponsered uniform...and their names on the back.
Drew has 3 Michael's on his team. Every other time there was a Go Mikey..Go Michael, Go Mike A...
There is a neighborhood carnival that I love to go to...the boys have no deisre to go, they would rather play in the yard or game cube. Crazy kids. I ALWAYS wanted to go to the carnival.
This week I start double church week. Mom and Dad on Saturday and Drew w/ his PSR on Sundays...God isn't going to know what to do seeing me in church all the time.

Can't let her go...
The saga continues. I witnessed a couple things today that mad me almost swallow my tongue.
From looking at HR kind of websites I see where anything serious talks w/ an employee need to be done in the proper ways in order to not screw up legally.
SO...I went to my supervisor who rolled his eyes and said, "I knew you were going to want to talk to me about this".
Seems that she's gone through many rounds of couseling etc and there is now a deal w/ her dad and the new owner to "boost her up" with positive reinforcement...and to "pay off" the other employees that are upset by her actions w/ free lunches, gifts etc.
Crazy stuff huh? SO..she's nice to me but when I confront her on her actions she only blows up and defends her actions. What to do...??
Pokey - Slammer - Whole - Prison - Jail
Those are all names of a place I have NEVER been.
YET..the people at my office, well that's another story.
One girl that is white and thinks she's gangster black..especially when she talks about prison..has her baby daddy in prison/jail again. This whole thing is distrupting her work performance. First thing this morning she's still 6 minutes late and she's on the phone with the attorney talking about the $7500 bond to get him out. Now mind you he just got out, on "tickets"..I find this so hard to believe..so SHE is trying to hurry and do this before his PO finds out.
OMG this stuff is SO out of my vocabulary. Crazy stuff.
And NOW, it seems some other woman be calling the attorney..the tears, the phone calls..Can I fire her? It's getting close. She's a good worker when she works.

Scottrade Center

I'm sure the signs will change quickly. Scottrade Center is now the home of the St Louis Blues, Ice Shows and Concerts.
In my life time it has been:
When the venue was on Oakland Ave. it was The Arena, The Checkerdome then The Arena once again.
Next we move downtown: The Keil Center, Savvis Center and now the Scottrade Center.
Unreal that someone as young as me could see so many changes :0)
Wild and Wacking Things Happening
It has been just non-spot things going on right now. Constant invormation.
I wouldn't know where to begin..so in no particular order:
- Feels like FALL.
- Gov Ryan sentenced to 6 1/2 year. I'm taking bets he will serve ZERO. OK, maybe 1/2 year.
- Steve Irwin is killed by a Stingray while filming.
- Paris Hilton gets a DUI
- We see pictures of Suri
- Tony Blair says he is going to step down (lovely..stupid..crazy Brits)
- Savis Center changing it's name again
- Cardinals now have a shot at playing in October
- Football is starting
- Idiot drivers keep hitting Modot workers
- It's been almost 5 years since life changed as we know it
Seems like there was so much more..my brian was having overload a couple days ago and it was easier to write nothing.

Love the fresh air..aaaahhhh chooooo
We have the back door open, J is paining. I took some very cool pictures that I imagine I can upload from the office...it was major stall trying to do.
I was going to go to my hs 125th open house today but I don't feel like it anymore..unless I change my mind in the next 45 minutes. We had to go check out the church parking lot since they are doing construction for a bike race and mom thought we may not get her handicapped spot, I think we'll be ok.
The neighborhood was hopping..I have always lived West of where at the action is so it was quite a pain in the ass driving around. We did stop for grape soda and a salam ditesta sandwhich. Yum..not sure when the running trips to the bathroom will start though. But man it's good.
Maybe blockbuster tonight then the Greek Festivale tomorrow..unless we stop by the bike race too, it might rain so there may be some good crashes..those are fun.
OK...back to playing games!

Not a Happy Friday for Everyone
Guy I know passed away last night, 54, massive heart attack. Leaves behind a relativley young family, oldest daughter getting ready to get married. Youngest still in grade school.
He's one of those people you see around, and you are used to seeing them. Not a friend in the true sense of the word but someone that I know many people will miss.
Thoughts and Prayers to Joe's family today.
In other news this is the big labor day weekend. I am so excited looking forward to the big Steely Dan / Michael McDonald concert! That's Monday!
My new office in the back has drywall up...Man I'm going to be in a corner..no one will have to hear my loud mouth. I won't be in shouting distance to Shelby anymore..that makes me sad.
Big ole pregnant girl Kristi at the office should more than likey have her baby this weekend, if she doesn't I would be surprised.
In "reality" world: My Ryan was kicked off Rockstar. Danie and George both got the boot on BB.
Go Storm, Go Janelle.
Couple more weeks til they fix the DISH...:0(
If we plug it in in the bedroom then there are no local channels but some movie channels. No Discovery,Travel, Food, HGTV, TNT, Bravo... So I had J unhook it so I could watch Hogan's Hero at 10:30 on channel 51..whatever the heck channel that is, it says, St Louis, Mt Vernon Il...whatever. On the TV in the living room we get local and movies..none of the above..and poor J no ESPN or FOXSMW.. We have been watching the Cardinals on AOL on the puter.
Well I guess that's it for today. Happy Labor Day!
