Winners and Losers
We ended up watching it at Spanky's Sports Zone in Columbia MO.
I had a hard time NOT falling asleep. There was a 19 foot TV behind me and at least 50 all within site from my seat. All but one TV had the baseball game on, it had a college football game on, UTEP vs someone???
The little boys, Justin and Drew could care less that there was a baseball game on.
The next morning though Drew was all about baseball thinking he was going to take pictures of Albert at Ferout Field. We had to explain we were NOT going to a baseball game, it was over, this was college football. He was very pleased about that.
Seats were great, bummer that don't put backs on them.
Personally I liked the tailgating part of it. I blue my "eating well" routine and had 2 bloody mary's and some awesome cream cheese/chutney thing that Wendy made. Man that was awesome, I'm going to have to ask her where she gets that, it has the right about of sweet in it..
So Mizzou lost the game..but I still enjoyed cheering ZOU.. drive home was OK.
We skipped the big parade yesterday, they say around 500,000 people were downtown. We recorded it and watched on TV. I'm so short I would have never seen anything anyway.
In more losing news St Louis was voted the most dangerous city in the United States, followed by Detroit. So if you have a good baseball team your city is dangerous. That's what I take out of that. The danger is all in the same areas..stupid people.
Today is the last day of the really nice weather, 70's...rain tonight but should be OK for trick or treaters in the evening.
I have pictures but they seem to be in non-jpeg formats, I'll have to work on that.

Sunrise??
You Are Sunrise

Smudge Gate?
I called that in the beginning of the game. I thought, "there is no way a player would try to cheat in the World Series!!"
Then I thought, maybe it's tobacco juice, you know how those guys spit and wipe that crap.
So what is it? I guess just something to talk about the day following a ball game, nothing else real exciting happened.
So 1-1 coming back home.
I haven't decided if I'm going to watch. I am baseballed OUT.
We're going to the Mizzou Game with a bunch of crazy people this weekend. (read family). Mizzou has only lost one game, pretty exciting stuff.
It's chilly out, major fall to winter weather.
I wish I knew how to sew, my button feel off a pair of pants and my sweater belt loop whole needs to be sewn.
Goal is to eat 5 fruits or veggies a day. I've had three already. Can a person really crave greasy food? I think I'd love some fries. No, not really but this eating healthy stuff is strange. I haven't had my dairy's yet today, I'm supposed to have 2. Maybe I can have cereal for dinner? That's an idea.
ps, I hate my new office.

Yadi is the Mang...
We weren't supposed to even be in the playoffs, now we're in the World Series, what is up with that.
I was stunned when the game was over. How does a rookie closer strike out Beltran looking?
OMG I hope Detroit doesn't sweep us in the series, that would be so embarrasing.
I was SO ready to be done w/ baseball and get back to my shows...now another week of butterflys and baseball.
First game is Saturday..6:30 cst. As mom said..Oh just enough time to come home from church and go to the bathroom, to which I replied "yes mother".

Met's Are Pond Scum! Still...

Back in the 1980's JC started "The Met's are Pond Scum". If you have ever wondered why...wonder nomore..I'm going to tell you.
Cardinals had an awesome rivalry going with the Met's, they were in our division then. JC and U-Man were on K-SHE 95 at the time and were trying to come up with a great catch phrase, that was G rated to talk about on the radio. If you recall this was the same year, 87 I believe..that the seat cushions flew on the field.
JC heard the phrase Pond Scum on an episode of Cheers. Diane called Sam "pond scum". He thought that was funny...and coined the phrase "The Met's are Pond Scum". I'm sure they copyrited it.
Over this series w/ the Met's they are selling "Met's are Pond Scum" shirts for $5 each; procedes going to Cardinal Care.
Games start tomorrow night, we're coming in as the underdogs!
